This project was commissioned by German development agency GIZ to document the impact of the Gigatonne program in their Agri-Jobs 4 Youth initiative - where 5 teams from rural Western Kenya were coached and supported to effectively tackle agricultural, social and environmental issues faced by their communities.
The case study:
Illustrates geographical, ecological and socio-economical information about teams
Includes testimonials and accounts from team members and stakeholders involved in their prototypes
Outlines how each team uniquely used food waste composting and planting methods to regenerate farmland, reduce carbon emissions, create livelihoods and provide food and financial benefits to vulnerable community members
Outlines team insights, analysis of data generated and details of their process was designed and presented to inform further programming by GIZ and its partnership with Gigatonne.
Enables the teams to have their journeys presentable for fundraising, recruitment and storytelling.

Process: Extensive stakeholder interviews with all 5 teams; Designing data and testimonial documentation formats; coordination and collaboration with M&E team from Gigatonne and GIZ; drawing out key insights to create 2-page narratives for each team.
