An ongoing series of editorial and independent illustrations spotlighting individuals, writers, creators, and professionals who identify as women or gender non-binary. This is part of Noonbug's mission to understand, frame and contextualise women's perspectives on various topics - not just gender or 'women's issues' - ranging from mental health, spirituality, indigenous wisdom, and cultural experience, to sexism, financial independence and generational trauma.
Elizabeth Denley: Wild Intelligence
Elizabeth is the founding editor of Heartfulness Magazine. She is Australian, loves meditating, writing, playing and singing music, gardening, thinking, spending time with her two grown up children, and life in general. She has been a student of both science and spirituality all her life. Trained as a research scientist, with a PhD in ecology, she turned her inquiry and research skills to the field of meditation and spirituality after starting the Heartfulness practices in the late 80s.
Elizabeth is currently living in the Central Highlands of Victoria in Australia, surrounded by natural forest. Why is this experience of living so close to Nature worth sharing? It has reawakened a more natural wild intelligence in her, the wild intelligence she remembers from childhood, which offers solutions to the current crises humanity faces.
